Founder emphasizes sustainable transformation as core mission
Michel Russel Lohoré, founder of the African Economic Builders initiative, stressed the importance of showcasing not only private sector success but also the public policies and national visions that lay the foundation for long-term prosperity. “We celebrate those governments whose strategic choices have catalyzed inclusive growth and positioned their nations as engines of continental progress,” he noted.
Jury chair highlights evidence-based selection process
Valentin Mbougueng, a respected international affairs journalist and jury president, explained that the evaluation drew on credible rankings from global and regional bodies, specialized publications, and deep on-the-ground expertise from jury members. This multi-source approach ensured that only the most impactful and measurable achievements were recognized.
The 20th anniversary gala, scheduled for June 18 in Abidjan, will honor all laureates in a celebratory ceremony marking two decades of spotlighting Africa’s economic champions.
