Each year, the University of Lomé (UL), Togo’s largest higher education institution, welcomes thousands of fresh high school graduates and returning students. To streamline the registration process for the upcoming academic year, the university has revamped its administrative procedures, shifting them entirely online for greater efficiency and accessibility.
Essential requirements before you begin
Before starting your online registration, ensure you have the following:
- For first-year students (LMD 1): Possession of a valid BAC 2 diploma or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Togolese Ministry of Education.
- For returning students: Your Matricule UL student ID number and proof of successful completion of the previous academic year or progression requirements.
- Valid contact details: An active email address and mobile phone number to create your student account and receive updates.
- Digital payment options: Access to an active Flooz (T-Money/Moov Money) account or a debit/credit card to cover registration and tuition fees.
Step-by-step online registration guide
The entire registration process now takes place on the University of Lomé’s official digital portal, accessible via daas.univ-lome.tg or the dedicated RESUP platform. Here’s how to proceed:
1. Create your student account and complete pre-registration
Visit the Directorate of Academic Affairs and Student Services (DAAS) website. Register by entering your personal details, high school grades, and preferred academic pathway (Faculty, School, or Institute).
2. Upload required supporting documents
Digitally scan and upload the following documents in PDF or JPG format: national ID, BAC 2 certificate, birth certificate, and a recent passport-sized photograph.
3. Pay your tuition and registration fees
Complete your payment using authorized channels, including partner banks such as Ecobank, BTCI/IB Bank, or mobile money solutions like Flooz.
4. Receive administrative validation
Once payment is confirmed, the DAAS reviews your application. You’ll then be able to download your official registration clearance from your personal dashboard.
5. Complete medical clearance and collect your student ID
Attend the mandatory medical examination at the University Medical Center of Lomé (CMUL) and collect your biometric student ID from the designated office.
Documents to keep for final verification
While the pre-registration is fully digital, you must retain the original copies of these documents for academic and examination purposes:
- A certified copy of your birth certificate.
- A certified copy of your Togolese nationality certificate (for nationals) or your passport/residence permit (for international students).
- The original or certified copy of your BAC 2 diploma.
- Academic transcripts from Seconde, Première, and Terminale.
- The printed registration confirmation from the UL portal.
- Bank or mobile payment receipts.
Pro tip: Strictly adhere to the deadlines published by the DAAS. Late submissions often incur penalties or automatic rejection. To avoid server overloads during peak times, initiate your registration as soon as the portal opens.
