Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko and his governmental team are scheduled to appear before the deputies this Thursday in Dakar. This quarterly session for current affairs questions aligns with the constitutional mandate for overseeing governmental actions and adheres to Article 104 of the National Assembly’s internal regulations.
The session is anticipated to last 202 minutes and will cover 14 key questions. The parliamentary group Pastef-Les Patriotes, representing the majority, has been allocated 10 questions. The opposition group Takku Wallu will pose 2 questions, with another 2 designated for non-aligned members.
This vital exercise is a cornerstone in reinforcing transparency within the management of public affairs.
Presiding over this fifth session since the Prime Minister’s appointment is Ismaëla Diallo, the first vice-president of the National Assembly.
The preceding session dedicated to current affairs questions occurred on February 24, 2026.
