Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS fortifies its market presence with SICTA integration in Côte d’Ivoire

The investment holding company, Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS, has officially confirmed the successful acquisition of SICTA (Société Ivoirienne de Contrôle Technique Automobile), the long-standing leader in Côte d’Ivoire’s vehicle inspection sector.

During a press briefing held in Abidjan on April 29, David Fofana, CEO of Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS, detailed the strategic takeover of SICTA and the significant progress achieved one year after its effective integration. Through the absorption of SICTA, Mayelia not only inherits five decades of invaluable industry experience but also infuses it with a fresh wave of innovation and forward momentum.

A primary objective articulated by the leadership is to dramatically enhance the user experience. This ambition is deemed highly achievable given Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS’ proven track record; the Group previously demonstrated its capacity for transformation by reducing waiting times to just 30 minutes with the launch of Mayelia Automotive, thereby setting new benchmarks for service efficiency in the sector.

The company is committed to aligning its operations with the government’s “Zéro complaisance” policy, positioning itself as a crucial partner for the State in its efforts to bolster road safety across the nation and mitigate road fatalities.

Beyond its core automotive technical inspection activities, Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS is rapidly emerging as a dynamic, expanding multisectoral group. Driven by a clear pan-African vision and a strategy centered on synergistic activities, the Group currently operates in two countries and oversees six subsidiaries. These entities span vital sectors including mobility (Mayelia Mobilité), technology (CIEIRIA), professional training (Mayelia Academy), in addition to its robust vehicle inspection portfolio (Mayelia Automotive Côte d’Ivoire, Mayelia Automotive Guinée, and SICTA).
