The military authorities of Tchad and the Central African Republic are intensifying efforts to bolster security along their shared border zones. A high-level working session, led by General Moubarak Abakar Nassour Hor, commander of the Tchad-RCA joint force, took place recently to assess the outcomes of recent collaborative operations on the ground.
Attended by key military officials from both nations, the meeting focused on reviewing the results of the Al-Hamamia 1 and Al-Hamamia 2 operations, alongside addressing emerging security challenges in critical border areas. Participants also explored innovative approaches to enhance the deployment of defense and security personnel in high-risk sectors.
The discussions culminated in the endorsement of a strategic plan for the upcoming Sentinelle mission, proposed by the G5 cell. This initiative aims to deploy additional military units equipped with fixed and mobile surveillance posts to tighten monitoring of suspicious movements while accelerating joint response times.
According to General Moubarak Abakar Nassour Hor, these measures will significantly improve the safety of communities residing along the border and strengthen the region’s ability to tackle cross-border threats more effectively.
