Sports: audits, federations, and infrastructure reforms
In sports, Kessany launched a comprehensive audit that led to the regularization of 13 Olympic federations, marking the first step in restructuring the country’s sports associations. Culture: legislation, innovation, and international impact
The cultural sector has seen significant progress under Kessany’s tenure. The Gabonese Copyright Office (BUGADA) underwent modernization, including the swearing-in of 21 new agents and the digitization of 2,250 works. Additionally, a May 22, 2026 decree was introduced to regulate the commercial exploitation of iboga, addressing growing international demand while preserving national heritage.
