The Government Secretariat General has initiated a significant technical validation workshop for the biennial report outlining the Head of State’s political agenda. This crucial event commenced on Tuesday, June 2, at the Radisson Blu hotel in N’Djaména. Over four days, from June 2 to June 5, 2026, participants will engage in comprehensive discussions regarding the implementation of the President’s vision for national development.

During the opening ceremony, Dr. Ramatou Mahamat Outouin, the Minister Secretary General of the Government, underscored the profound importance of this technical validation workshop. She highlighted that the report, which covers the period from May 2024 to May 2026, represents more than just a document review; it is a pivotal moment to rigorously assess the commitments made to the Chadian populace.

“We are gathered here to collectively examine our progress in fulfilling our promises,” she affirmed. Dr. Outouin articulated the core of President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno’s vision, which prioritizes the transformation of public action and fostering a closer connection with citizens’ concerns. She further emphasized the imperative for transparent governance, essential for reinforcing public trust in national institutions.

Dr. Ramatou Mahamat Outouin took the opportunity to commend the dedicated teams responsible for compiling this extensive report. “Behind every data point and every indicator, there are diligent men and women who have worked with precision and humility,” she noted. She acknowledged that while such accountability exercises can be challenging, they are indispensable for measuring tangible outcomes and identifying areas requiring improvement.

“Our objective here is not to offer self-congratulations but to achieve a thorough understanding,” she added, urging for a collaborative reflection on the achievements and the persistent challenges. She referenced the diverse expectations of Chadian citizens—from farmers to educators and entrepreneurs—stressing that all governmental efforts must ultimately serve the well-being of the population.

The Minister concluded by emphasizing the dual nature of this exercise, calling it both technical and profoundly human. She encouraged all attendees to approach the report with unwavering rigor and a deep sense of responsibility. “This document must accurately reflect our reality, showcasing both the strides we have made and the continued efforts that lie ahead,” she stated, before officially declaring the workshop open.
