The National Bureau of Land Freight in Chad (BNFT) has joined forces with counterparts in Cameroon and the Central African Republic to ink a landmark digitalization pact for Central African trade corridors by 2030.
This strategic alliance aims to revolutionize how goods move across borders by introducing digital solutions that streamline transit procedures. The three nations are committed to creating a more efficient, secure, and transparent logistics ecosystem through systematic digitization of cross-border trade operations.
Saleh Youssouf Erda, Director-General of the BNFT, emphasized the transformative potential of this agreement in today’s digital-first economy. “This pact embodies our shared vision for cutting-edge logistics infrastructure. By embracing digitalization, we’re not just modernizing trade corridors—we’re ensuring faster, safer, and more reliable goods movement across our borders.” he stated.
Central African Republic’s Transport Ministry representative highlighted the collaborative effort behind this initiative. “Years of stakeholder consultations have culminated in a system that slashes bureaucratic delays while guaranteeing cargo security—key pillars for building trust in regional commerce.”
The agreement forms part of a broader push to revolutionize Central Africa’s transport networks, fostering deeper economic ties and unhindered trade flows between member states.
