barcola’s lighthearted take on missed chances after psg’s champions league triumph
On Instagram, the Paris Saint-Germain forward playfully addressed his missed scoring opportunities late in the Champions League final against Arsenal.
The opportunities were there, and he could have dwelled on them. Substituted into the Champions League final in Budapest at the 83rd minute, a match Paris Saint-Germain ultimately clinched against Arsenal on Saturday (1-1, 4-3 t.a.b.), Bradley Barcola found himself with two golden chances to secure victory for the capital club before the tension of the penalty shootout.
The 23-year-old forward missed a crucial chance to seal the win in the final moments of regulation time (90+7th minute), after being thwarted by an alert David Raya just minutes earlier (85th minute). Sprinting behind the Gunners’ defense, the former Lyon player saw his powerful shot from a tight angle sail wide of the goal, following a somewhat erratic dribble.
However, all’s well that ends well, as PSG eventually triumphed, lifting the prestigious “Big-Eared Cup” for the second consecutive year. Bradley Barcola, choosing to put his personal misses in perspective, humorously reflected on the events via his Instagram account later that evening.

“it’s okay, we won”
Accompanying a photo of himself alongside Ousmane Dembélé, both holding the coveted trophy, the French international penned a candid caption: “I should have killed the match but ma3lich (which means ‘it’s okay’ in Arabic), we won.”
Notably, Barcola did not step up for a penalty during the decisive shootout. This proved unnecessary, as PSG managed to secure their victory with only one missed attempt, claiming another prestigious title in Europe’s premier club competition.
