Uber is broadening its presence in Morocco by launching ride-hailing services in Tangier and Agadir, two key tourist hubs. This move complements existing offerings in Casablanca and Rabat, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting the country’s booming tourism sector—especially as preparations intensify for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
With Morocco targeting 26 million visitors by 2030, Uber emphasizes its role in delivering «reliable, safe, and convenient mobility» to enhance the travel experience. A recent announcement highlights the platform’s ability to streamline journeys, from airport transfers to city exploration, ensuring seamless navigation for tourists and locals alike.
In Tangier and Agadir, riders can now book trips through the Uber app, selecting from options like UberX and UberXL, already popular in other Moroccan cities. The expansion aligns with surging tourism demand, as evidenced by a record 19.8 million visitors in 2025—a 14% increase year-on-year—and tourism revenue exceeding 124 billion dirhams in the first 11 months of that year. Early 2026 saw a 7% rise in arrivals during the first quarter, underscoring the sector’s rapid growth.
