The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) squad is set to undergo potential changes during the upcoming summer transfer window. While forwards Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Désiré Doué, Senny Mayulu and Ousmane Dembélé are expected to remain with the club, uncertainty looms over the futures of Gonçalo Ramos, Ibrahim Mbaye, Kang-in Lee and Bradley Barcola.
Barcola, a French international currently contracted to PSG until June 2028, has emerged as a prime target for Liverpool. The Reds are keen to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season, and the young forward’s profile aligns with their long-term strategy. His inclusion in Liverpool’s shortlist follows their recent appointment of Victor Muñoz as a technical staff member, a move unlikely to deter their interest.
Diomande remains Liverpool’s top priority
Despite Barcola’s appeal, Liverpool’s primary focus this summer is Yan Diomande, a pacey winger also being monitored by PSG. The 19-year-old, who plays for RB Leipzig, hinted at his openness to a move after Ivory Coast’s World Cup opener against Ecuador (1-0). “I’m focused on my World Cup campaign—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. My agents handle negotiations, and I’ll assess any offers after the tournament,” he stated.
Alternative targets for Liverpool’s attacking upgrade
With RB Leipzig reportedly seeking €100 million for Diomande and competition from PSG complicating the deal, Liverpool is exploring other avenues. Barcola remains a key figure in their plans, alongside additional prospects such as Said El Mala (1. FC Köln), Yankuba Minteh (Brighton & Hove Albion) and Matías Fernández-Pardo (Lille). These players represent the Reds’ strategic approach to refreshing their offensive ranks.
