Cameroon’s Senate is fully prepared for the opening of its June 2026 ordinary session tomorrow, June 9, 2026.

Demonstrating its administrative rigor, Senate Secretary-General Gustave Léopold Ngane, accompanied by the Deputy Secretary-General and senior officials, conducted a comprehensive inspection this morning, June 8, 2026, of the Senate’s facilities at the Economic and Social Council.

The final assessment aimed to verify the readiness of all essential infrastructure for the smooth conduct of parliamentary work. The delegation meticulously examined conference halls, the VIP reception lounge, banquet rooms, and the main hemicycle where senators will convene throughout the session.

Following the inspection, the Secretary-General expressed full confidence in the operational readiness of all facilities. He confirmed that all logistical and technical preparations had been completed in anticipation of the session’s opening.

The June ordinary session, in line with parliamentary tradition, will primarily focus on budgetary discussions, strategic exchanges between the Upper House and the Supreme Court’s Audit Bench, and the careful review and adoption of legislative proposals.
