Numerous events are being organized across Île-de-France for the highly anticipated PSG-Arsenal Champions League final. While no official fan zone will be established in Paris, supporters can still gather to experience the match day atmosphere. We’ve compiled a guide to the best spots.
Football fever will sweep across Europe this Saturday as Paris Saint-Germain faces Arsenal in the Champions League final in Budapest. For those unable to attend the match or secure a coveted spot at the already sold-out Parc des Princes event, fret not! Despite the absence of a dedicated fan zone in Paris, there are plenty of vibrant locations throughout Île-de-France where you can join fellow supporters and cheer on your team with full voice.
Celebrating outdoors…
For an authentic stadium ambiance, head to the Camp des Loges. The historic home of PSG in Saint-Germain-en-Laye is preparing to welcome up to 8,000 people, possibly including former players. Gates to the Georges-Lefèvre stadium open at 3:30 PM. This event is organized by the city of Saint-Germain-en-Laye, with pedestrian access available via the main stadium entrance.
A massive “garden party” is scheduled at the Hippodrome de Longchamp. The program features DJ sets and a lounge area from 2 PM to 6 PM, followed by the match broadcast on an impressive 30-meter diagonal screen. The same organizers are also planning viewing parties at YOYO – Palais de Tokyo and Loft Maillot.
…and indoors
If you prefer to escape the sun, consider the Grand Rex. Two halls of this iconic cinema will host fans, inviting them to sing, cheer, and hopefully, celebrate a victory. Organizers are promising a “curve atmosphere,” complete with a “breathtaking state-of-the-art sound system, pre-match entertainment, and palpable tension with every play.”
The association Y’A RIEN ÇA JOUE is organizing an evening at the Centre Paris Anim’ Jacques Bravo in the 9th arrondissement. Organizers state, “The evening will feature the match broadcast, along with various activities and a refreshment stand.” Entry is free, but registration is required. Doors open at 5:30 PM.
The Town Hall of the 17th arrondissement is currently arranging a public screening. While details are still being finalized, “due to security constraints and authorized capacity, event access will be solely by pre-registration.” You can reserve your spot via the pre-registration link. The Town Hall specifies that “definitive practical information will be communicated to registered individuals shortly.”
The return of fan zones
Official fan zones are planned in several municipalities. Two have already been announced in the Yvelines region. Le Perray-en-Yvelines will host supporters in the municipal park starting at 4:30 PM, featuring a giant screen, refreshments, and food. In Conflans Sainte-Honorine, public access begins at 5:30 PM at Parc du Prieuré, also with a giant screen and catering. The Town Hall notes, “The site’s capacity will be limited to 2,000 people.”
In Seine-Saint-Denis, a “grand football evening” is scheduled in Épinay-sur-Seine, within the Parc de l’Hôtel de Ville. Sweet and savory food trucks will be on site, and entry is free. However, certain items are prohibited: “bottles, chairs, stools, flagpoles, as well as firecrackers and smoke bombs.” The gardens of the Town Hall in Noisy-le-Grand open at 5 PM for a giant screen broadcast. Be aware that “the fan zone may close due to high attendance,” so it’s advisable to arrive early. Finally, numerous bars and cafes across the region are planning special viewing parties, offering plenty of choices!
