The final Serie A showdown between Torino and Juventus was postponed from its 20:45 kickoff after serious altercations between rival fans left one supporter in critical condition.

The highly anticipated Turin derby, which could have secured Juventus a Champions League spot with a victory, never got underway on schedule. Emergency services transported a Juventus fan to hospital in a life-threatening state following violent clashes outside the stadium. Authorities rescheduled the match for 21:45 to allow time for crowd control measures.

Juventus president Damien Comolli revealed in an interview that supporters in the Juventus section urged midfielder Manuel Locatelli to refuse playing the match, citing the gravity of the situation. The Italian league had deliberately scheduled this match alongside three others—Milan, Como and Rome—all competing for the final two Champions League qualification spots.
