Succès Masra's legal case before the Chadian Supreme Court in 2026

A significant judicial development has emerged concerning the ongoing case involving Succès Masra. The Judicial Chamber of the Supreme Court of Chad has officially scheduled the matter for review during its ordinary public hearing of the 2nd Criminal Section.

This crucial session is slated for Thursday, May 21, 2026, commencing at 9:00 AM. The official audience roster, bearing the signature of M. Samir Adam Annour, President of the section, was issued in N’Djamena on May 19, 2026.

The legal proceedings, identified as dossier n°092/25, pit Succès Masra and the individuals accused in the Mandakao affair against the Public Prosecutor and the Chadian State. A collective of defense attorneys, notably led by Me Kadjilem-baye Francis, will represent Masra and his co-accused, while the State Judicial Agency (AJE) will act on behalf of the Chadian State.

At the heart of this upcoming hearing is an appeal in cassation. This legal challenge seeks to overturn criminal judgment n°018/25, which was pronounced by the N’Djamena Court of Appeal on August 9, 2025. The esteemed magistrate Amadou Oumarou has been designated to present the report for this complex case.
