The Tchad Ministry of National Education has unveiled plans for the written baccalaureate examinations scheduled for June 8-13, 2026, with 106,231 candidates expected to participate across the country and one international center.

Strict measures to ensure exam integrity

During a press conference held in N’Djamena, Professor Doumpa Mian Asmbaye, President of the 2026 baccalaureate jury, outlined the organizational framework and key statistics for the upcoming session. The exam will take place in 160 centers nationwide, including 31 in N’Djamena, 128 in provincial areas, and one international center in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

This year’s candidate pool includes 60,501 boys (56.95%), 45,730 girls (43.05%), and 5,893 foreign candidates (5.55%). The number of female candidates has increased slightly compared to the previous session, reflecting growing emphasis on girls’ education in Tchad.

Zero tolerance for exam malpractice

The organizers have reinforced strict anti-cheating measures, including a ban on mobile phones in all exam centers and classrooms. The joint order N°48 of May 6, 2026, explicitly prohibits their use, with violators facing penalties up to and including disqualification.

Professor Asmbaye emphasized the importance of the « baccalaureate police » guidelines displayed in every center. He called for strict enforcement by supervisors and active collaboration from education authorities, security forces, parents, and all stakeholders to ensure a smooth examination process.

Nationwide mobilization for exam success

The jury president urged collective responsibility, highlighting the need to maintain the credibility of the Tchad baccalaureate. He expressed confidence in the candidates’ preparation and encouraged them to approach the exams with determination, as these results will shape their educational and professional futures.
