Fête nationale française : une célébration de l’amitié Franco-Tchadienne à N’Djamena
The French national day was celebrated in N’Djamena, bringing together diplomats and personalities to highlight the friendship and cooperation between France and Chad.
- French Ambassador to Chad organizes a ceremony on July 14th at the Residence of France in N’Djamena.
- A convivial and sharing atmosphere marked this commemorative day, which brought together French Ambassador Éric Gérard with senior officials from Tchad’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among others.
After playing both countries’ national anthems, the guests listened attentively to the French ambassador’s speech. In his address, he highlighted France’s values of freedom, equality and brotherhood, the foundation of the French Republic.
‘This friendship is built every day. We must continue to weave links based on respect, reciprocal affection, honesty and sincerity,’ said Ambassador Gérard.
He also saluted Tchad’s cooperation with France, mentioning 39 active projects in areas such as water, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, education and support for youth and civil society initiatives. ‘The meeting between our two heads of state last January in Paris marked a strong first step in this partnership,’ said Ambassador Gérard.
He also emphasized France’s commitment to supporting Tchad through the ‘Tchad Connexion 2030’ development plan, crucial for the country’s growth.
