Matar Ndiaga Seck, a close associate of Senegal’s Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, was taken into custody by the Criminal Investigations Division (DIC) following an arrest warrant issued in Linguère. The detention stems from an ongoing probe into the arrest of 22 individuals in the Djoloff region on suspicion of involvement in unnatural acts.
Investigators claim there are consistent elements linking Mr. Seck to the case, which has drawn significant attention due to its sensitive nature. The DIC has not disclosed further details about the alleged offenses or the evidence against him at this stage.
