Ryanair boosts Morocco connections with 17 new winter routes

Ryanair is rolling out its most ambitious winter flight program yet in Morocco, adding 17 new routes that will connect the kingdom to destinations across Europe. Seven of these new connections will depart from Rabat, making the capital the biggest beneficiary of the expansion.

In total, the airline will operate 156 routes linking Morocco to 14 European countries during winter 2026, offering a staggering 5.3 million seats. Rabat leads the way with seven new routes, closely followed by Marrakech and Agadir, each gaining five additional connections.

Strategic expansion across 13 airports

The enhanced network will cover 13 Moroccan airports, including key destinations like Fès, Tétouan, Essaouira, Ouarzazate, Dakhla, and Nador. This initiative aims to distribute tourist flows more evenly across regions while boosting the appeal of lesser-known cities on European travel maps.

The announcement marks a record expansion for Ryanair in Morocco, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to improving air connectivity to the kingdom. While specific European cities and flight frequencies have yet to be disclosed, the move underscores Rabat’s growing role as a major aviation hub in the region.

Connectivity boost for Morocco’s tourism sector

With 5.3 million seats up for grabs, this winter program represents a significant leap in Morocco’s air travel accessibility. The new routes are expected to funnel more travelers into secondary cities, supporting local economies and diversifying tourism beyond traditional hotspots. The Office National Marocain du Tourisme (ONMT) has hailed the initiative as a milestone in strengthening Morocco’s global tourism footprint.
