• chelsea set to break premier league transfer record

With a staggering outlay of 117 million pounds, Chelsea is poised to establish not only a new internal club record, surpassing their previous highest fee by 11 million pounds, but also a new benchmark for the Premier League itself. This new threshold eclipses the recent record set by Manchester City, who acquired England international Elliot Anderson, a key player in the World Cup, from Nottingham Forest for 116 million pounds.

• morgan rogers’ impact at aston villa and world cup performance

Rogers had recently extended his contract with Aston Villa, originally set to expire at the end of 2024, until 2030, securing his position as one of the highest-paid players under manager Unai Emery.

Last season, the Villans successfully secured their place in the Champions League through their strong Premier League finish and their triumph in the Europa League final against SC Freiburg, where Rogers notably netted the third goal.

During the recent World Cup held across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Rogers featured in six of England’s seven matches under the guidance of coach Thomas Tuchel. In the semi-final elimination against Argentina (1-2), it was Rogers who provided the crucial assist for Anthony Gordon’s opening goal. The prolific forward is scheduled to play in the third-place match against France this Saturday, with kick-off at 11 PM Central European Time.
