The Paris Saint-Germain is actively exploring potential replacements for Gonçalo Ramos, who recently finalized his move to AC Milan for a reported €74 million on June 30. Among the names under consideration is Spanish forward Ferran Torres, whose contract with FC Barcelona extends until June 2027.

FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta addressed the Ferran Torres transfer speculation during a recent appearance in Dallas ahead of the World Cup semifinal between France and Spain. Speaking candidly, Laporta emphasized that no official confirmation has been received regarding a potential move to the French club.
Barcelona’s stance on Ferran Torres remains firm
Laporta made it clear that Ferran Torres is a valued asset under Barcelona’s contract. “I’ve heard about the rumors regarding Ferran Torres joining PSG,” he stated, “but we haven’t received any official confirmation. He’s one of our 14 players here, and he’s performing exceptionally well. Every time he steps onto the pitch, he’s a constant threat. His assist to Merino was outstanding. That said, we have incredible players at the World Cup, which is why I’m here myself.”
PSG’s pursuit of a new striker intensifies
With Gonçalo Ramos departing for AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain is urgently seeking a replacement to bolster their attacking line. Reports suggest the club has already reached a preliminary agreement with Ferran Torres for a five-year deal. However, Barcelona’s leadership has yet to signal any willingness to part ways with the Spanish international, despite growing interest from other European clubs.
