Prime Minister inaugurates Niger’s ‘Solidarity’ power plant in Gorou Banda
The Prime Minister of Algeria, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, arrived in Niamey’s Gorou Banda district this Wednesday to preside over the official inauguration of the ‘Solidarity’ power plant, marking its entry into operational service.
This high-profile event is part of the Prime Minister’s official visit to Niger, mandated by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The delegation accompanying him includes Algeria’s Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mr. Mourad Adjal, and the Director-General of Algeria’s Agency for International Cooperation in Solidarity and Development, Mr. Abed Halouz.
The ‘Solidarity’ power plant represents a significant milestone in efforts to strengthen energy infrastructure in the region. By enhancing electricity production capacity, it aims to support economic development and improve living conditions for local communities in Niamey and beyond.
