Responding to an evolving dynamic in internal structuring, Pastef, under the leadership of Ousmane Sonko, is initiating a significant overhaul of its Party School. This strategic move, which precedes the upcoming 2026 congress, aims to enhance the effectiveness of militant training and supervision.
As part of its preparations for the inaugural congress scheduled for June 6, 2026, Pastef has announced a comprehensive restructuring of its Party School’s framework. This initiative, according to information released by the political party, is part of an internal organizational drive designed to bolster the oversight and coordination of activist training activities.
A memo from the National Secretariat for Training, led by Malick Sy, outlines that the newly designed organizational chart aims to address the growing demands for expanding membership, improving guidance, and professionalizing activist development. This reorganization adopts a functional, territorial, and thematic approach, intended to refine the synchronization of training efforts both nationally and internationally.
