Morocco proves youth can lead through royal vision

The Kingdom of Morocco, guided by the forward-thinking leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has demonstrated to the world how youth can rise to positions of responsibility and set benchmarks for excellence when given the right opportunities, stated Fouzi Lekjaa, Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, on Wednesday in Rabat.

Speaking during a session of the Public Finance Control Commission at the Chamber of Representatives, Lekjaa—who also serves as President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation—highlighted that this transformative policy began with the King’s address at the inaugural National Sports Conference. He noted how this vision evolved with the establishment of the Mohammed VI Football Academy, which laid the foundation for the sustained growth of football across the country.

Football as a model for leadership development

The Minister emphasized that the football sector in Morocco has become a tangible example of how structured initiatives can empower young talents to take on leadership roles. By investing in world-class training facilities and fostering a culture of excellence, the initiative has not only elevated the performance of Moroccan teams but also inspired a generation to aim higher in both sports and life.
