Morocco has firmly established humanitarian action as a central tenet of its foreign policy and African cooperation initiatives. This strategic direction aligns seamlessly with the enlightened vision articulated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, as conveyed by Ambassador Mohamed Arrouchi, the Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the African Union (AU) and UNECA, during a recent session of the AU Peace and Security Council (PSC).
In his address to the PSC’s public deliberation on refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and humanitarian assistance across Africa, Mr. Arrouchi underscored Morocco’s unwavering commitment. He emphasized that, in line with the insightful guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who serves as the AU Champion on Migration, the Kingdom consistently prioritizes humanitarian efforts. Morocco spares no effort in contributing significantly to the alleviation of humanitarian crises wherever they emerge on the African continent.
