Mankono, Côte d’Ivoire – The departmental secretariat of the Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace (RHDP) in Mankono, encompassing both the commune and sub-prefecture, successfully concluded its political relaunch activities on July 17 and 18, 2026. This significant event centered on a comprehensive review of the 2025 elections, extensive training for party militants, and a strategic push to reinvigorate the party’s foundational structures.
Cissé Namory, the RHDP departmental secretary whose political jurisdiction covers Mankono commune and its sub-prefecture, strongly reiterated the commitment of activists in the Béré region. Their collective dedication, he affirmed, is geared towards solidifying and strengthening the presidential party’s presence and influence.
Mr. Namory expressed satisfaction with the RHDP’s resounding victory in the recent legislative elections within his political department, where Deputy Salimata Fofana épouse Méité emerged triumphant. However, he also voiced concern regarding instances of indiscipline among some party members, suggesting that such behaviors occasionally received backing from certain party officials.
“We bear a responsibility for candor towards our militants to safeguard the cohesion and effectiveness of our political endeavors,” he declared, making an earnest plea for enhanced discipline and unwavering unity within the RHDP ranks.
The political relaunch unfolded with two distinct and impactful phases. The inaugural day featured a thought-provoking reflection seminar, aptly themed: “Learning from the last ballot and charting the course for the new militant cycle.”
During this pivotal session, Professor Soro David, the deputy national secretary responsible for the RHDP’s political structures, delivered a compelling conference. His presentation focused on “The contribution of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 to the advancement of the Béré region.”
Professor Soro meticulously outlined the achievements realized in Béré through the PND 2021-2025, before detailing the promising opportunities presented by the upcoming PND 2026-2030. “The Béré region has reaped substantial benefits from the PND 2021-2025 and stands to gain even more with the PND 2026-2030,” he asserted, highlighting numerous projects earmarked for the education, health, and infrastructure sectors.
Furthermore, Professor Soro commended the steadfast commitment of regional leaders and local dignitaries who stand alongside President Alassane Ouattara. He emphasized that their active involvement serves as a crucial catalyst for Béré’s development and significantly bolsters governmental initiatives across this vital part of the nation.
