In a decisive move to bolster national security and intensify the fight against terrorism, the Malian government has officially declared substantial financial rewards for information leading to the apprehension or neutralization of seven high-profile terrorist commanders. These bounties, a key development in Mali politics, range from 500 million to an impressive 2 billion CFA francs.

“The Government of the Republic of Mali wishes to inform the public that a financial reward is being offered to anyone who provides reliable, relevant, and actionable intelligence enabling the arrest or neutralization of the designated individuals,” stated a communiqué issued by the Ministry of Security. This initiative underscores Mali’s commitment to eradicating the scourge of terrorism impacting West Africa.

Among those targeted by these significant bounties are Iyad Ag Ghali, with a reward of 2 billion FCFA, Hamadoun Hassan Sankaré, also known as Amadou Kouffa, carrying a 1.5 billion FCFA bounty, Abdoulaye Mahamadou Bekaye Diallo, identified as Doulé Bib de Nampala, also at 1.5 billion FCFA, and Alghabass Ag Intallah, for whom 1 billion FCFA is offered. These figures represent a critical focus for Mali’s counter-terrorism efforts and are central to current affairs in Mali.

Authorities emphasized that these individuals are vigorously pursued by competent services due to their alleged involvement in orchestrating, organizing, and executing terrorist acts that have gravely compromised the safety of citizens and property across the nation. This latest announcement marks a significant step in Mali’s ongoing security strategy.

The populace is therefore urged to maintain heightened vigilance and to actively collaborate with the Armed Forces and Security Services by promptly relaying any information that could contribute to locating these wanted individuals. Such public cooperation is vital for the success of these operations, reinforcing the nation’s collective effort against extremist threats.
