French defender Lucas Digne has completed a move to Paris Saint-Germain on loan from Aston Villa, according to reports.
The 30-year-old left-back was handed a verbal agreement by PSG’s management team, allowing him to join the club for the remainder of the season.
Digne, who signed a long-term deal with Villa in 2022, will now compete for a starting spot at Paris Saint-Germain, where he has previously played on loan from Roma between 2013 and 2016.
PSG’s interest in Digne was first reported by The Daily Mail, which claimed that the club had identified him as a potential replacement for Nuno Mendes, who suffered an injury earlier this season.
The transfer is subject to the usual conditions, including a medical examination and the completion of formal paperwork.
