General Saddam Haftar’s visit to the Republic of Chad has strengthened ties between Libya and Chad.
The Libyan vice-commander-in-chief, General Haftar, was received at Chad’s presidential palace in N’Djamena by President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno. The two leaders discussed regional issues of mutual interest and explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various domains for the strategic interests of both countries.
General Haftar highlighted the depth of fraternal relations between the two nations, affirming the military general staff’s commitment to strengthening military and security cooperation in response to common challenges, contributing to regional stability.
Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno expressed his great appreciation for General Khalifa Abou al-Qasim Haftar and the role of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces’ General Staff in maintaining security and stability in Libya, which has a positive impact on regional security.
