A significant joint security operation in N’Djamena resulted in the confiscation of weapons and the apprehension of 447 individuals. Minister Ali Ahmat Aghabache praised the diligence of the security forces.

A comprehensive, multi-agency security sweep recently concluded in N’Djamena’s 10th district, demonstrating a robust commitment to public safety in Chad. This extensive operation involved personnel from the National Gendarmerie, National Police, the GNNT, and various specialized services.

The strategic initiative was meticulously overseen by Police Controller General Tougoud Digo Maïdé and Division General Djiddo Mahamat Haggar. Notably, the Minister of Public Security, Ali Ahmat Aghabache, was also present, underscoring the high-level focus on enhancing security measures across N’Djamena.

The operation yielded significant results, including the confiscation of numerous illicit weapons and vehicles operating without proper documentation. In total, 447 individuals were apprehended: 165 foreign nationals found to be without legal residency status, and 282 Chadian citizens who lacked valid identification documents.

Following the successful conclusion of the sweep, Minister Aghabache commended the participating security forces for their exceptional professionalism and dedication throughout the exercise, reinforcing the government’s resolve to maintain order and security in Chad.
