José Mourinho’s real Madrid return and his dream target: Vitinha

Significant changes are anticipated at Real Madrid this summer, notably with the expected arrival of José Mourinho. To restore the Casa Blanca to its former competitive glory, the Special One is poised to request several key transfers, some of which will undoubtedly prove challenging. Among his top priorities, the Portuguese manager reportedly seeks to bring his compatriot, Paris Saint-Germain’s influential midfielder Vitinha, to the Spanish capital.

Following a season without major silverware, Real Madrid is determined to reclaim its position at the pinnacle of European football next season. This new chapter will begin without Alvaro Arbeloa, who confirmed his departure from the Madrid club in a press conference this Friday, just ahead of the final match of the season against Athletic Bilbao at home. “I sincerely hope this is merely a temporary farewell. Real Madrid has been my home for two decades, serving in various capacities. This will be my last match on the bench this season, and while I can’t say if it’s my last ever, I intend to savor it and, hopefully, secure a victory,” Arbeloa shared.

Mourinho’s imminent return to Madrid

While Alvaro Arbeloa’s departure was announced this Friday, Real Madrid had already been actively seeking a new leader. For several weeks, the Spanish club has reportedly been in advanced discussions with one prominent figure: José Mourinho. Latest reports indicate that an agreement has been reached, paving the way for the Portuguese coach’s highly anticipated return to Madrid, following his successful first stint from 2010 to 2013.

Mourinho sets sights on Vitinha

Upon his return to Real Madrid, José Mourinho is committed to building a formidable squad, suggesting a bustling summer transfer window for the Spanish giants. Club management is reportedly seeking reinforcements across almost all positions, but in midfield, Vitinha is understood to be a significant target for the Special One. Sources indicate that Real Madrid is keen to revitalize its core with top-tier talent in defense, midfield, and attack. Mourinho’s ultimate ambition is to acquire another of his compatriots, Vitinha, who has been a standout performer for Paris Saint-Germain.

The prospects of Vitinha leaving PSG are admittedly slim, given how highly the Parisian club values him. However, it’s not entirely inconceivable that, should PSG clinch a second Champions League title, the midfielder might consider seeking a fresh challenge elsewhere.
