The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has strongly condemned the terrorist schemes thwarted in Morocco, reaffirming its full solidarity with the North African nation in safeguarding its security and stability.

In an official statement released by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Amman denounced the orchestrated threats that sought to undermine Morocco’s public order and endanger lives and property.

Speaking on behalf of the government, Ambassador Fouad Majali emphasized Jordan’s unwavering backing for Morocco, praising its proactive measures to protect citizens and preserve national security.

The statement followed Morocco’s announcement of a successful counterterrorism operation, which led to the dismantling of highly dangerous plots at an advanced stage of execution.

Based on intelligence gathered by the Directorate General for National Security (DGST), simultaneous raids across multiple Moroccan cities resulted in the arrest of radicalized individuals plotting coordinated attacks.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects had logistical and operational ties with ISIS-affiliated groups operating in the Sahel region.
