The military authorities of Chad and the Central African Republic are stepping up their efforts to enhance security along their shared border. A strategy meeting, led by Brigadier General Moubarak Abakar Nassour Hor, assessed recent joint operations and addressed ongoing security challenges.

The meeting resulted in the approval of a new operational plan, codenamed Sentinelle, developed by the G5 Sahel cell. This initiative involves deploying additional military units equipped with fixed and mobile surveillance posts along the border. The goal is to strengthen monitoring, accelerate response times, and deepen cross-border security cooperation between Chad and the Central African Republic.

According to Brigadier General Moubarak Abakar Nassour Hor, commander of the joint Chad-RCA force, Sentinelle aims to better safeguard populations in border regions and tackle emerging security threats more effectively.
