Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the Consultative Group for the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030, focused on investors, kicked off today at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
« This session marks a pivotal phase in our collective effort to harness private investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation for national development, » declared the Prime Minister. « We are encouraged by the strong turnout of over 700 investors from friendly nations who have joined this vital discussion. »
The gathering brought together business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives who traveled to Abidjan to engage in high-level dialogues. Prime Minister Mambé emphasized that this forum serves as a critical platform for aligning public and private sector visions to accelerate Côte d’Ivoire’s growth trajectory.
« Your presence here today reaffirms your confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth prospects, » he told attendees. « As key partners, your investments will be instrumental in building a more competitive, job-creating economy. The success of our ambition hinges on your ability to seize these opportunities. »
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind the country’s economic transformation. He highlighted Côte d’Ivoire’s economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years and its ability to adapt amid global uncertainties, solidifying its status as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.
« This is a market brimming with untapped potential, » he stated. « Today’s sessions will fast-track investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030—particularly industrialization, local raw material processing to boost value addition, infrastructure development in transport, digital technology, logistics, and human capital investment. These initiatives are designed to enhance productivity, inclusivity, and economic attractiveness. »
He noted that the first day of the forum, dedicated to institutional partners and development strategy presentations, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.
Leaders from the private sector echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), collectively reaffirmed their commitment to Côte d’Ivoire’s development vision.
