Abidjan, July 9, 2026 – The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off today at the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan. The session was led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, who emphasized the critical role of private investment in driving the country’s ambitious growth agenda.
The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the gathering, noting the participation of over 700 investors from friendly nations. This event serves as a vital platform for fostering dialogue with the private sector while aligning on a shared vision for Côte d’Ivoire’s economic future.
Investors as key partners in economic transformation
In his address, Robert Beugré Mambé underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the backbone of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors of the nation’s economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years and its ability to adapt to global shifts. The Prime Minister stressed that Côte d’Ivoire remains one of the continent’s most dynamic economies, offering a thriving market for potential investors.
« Today marks a pivotal step in this consultative process, focusing on investment, enterprise, and value creation. Our goal is to mobilize the private sector to drive the implementation of this development vision, » he stated.
The Prime Minister outlined key sectors targeted for accelerated investment under the PND 2026-2030, including:
- Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition,
- Development of strategic infrastructure such as transport, digital, and logistics networks,
- Investment in human capital, innovation, and essential services to foster a more productive and inclusive economy.
He recalled that the first day of the Consultative Group, focused on institutional partners and the country’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries.
Private sector leaders pledge support
Representatives from leading business organizations echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Moroccan Confederation of Enterprises (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), all reaffirmed their confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s development vision. They expressed readiness to contribute through substantial financial commitments to the PND 2026-2030.
