Gabon’s anti-corruption progress under global scrutiny

Libreville hosts a pivotal UN evaluation from June 29 to assess Gabon’s progress in combating corruption. Over three days, international experts, national authorities, and local institutions examine measures to prevent corruption and recover illicit assets. Speaking at the opening session, Vice-President of the Government Hermann Immongault emphasized the critical role of governance in shaping development, institutional stability, and public trust.

This evaluation marks a significant milestone in the consolidation of governance under the Fifth Republic, according to government leaders and UN representatives.
