The declaration was led by David Mbadinga, head of the Union des patriotes gabonais loyalistes (UPGL), who emphasized the importance of maintaining dignity in political debate. « Public criticism of leaders should never cross the line into disrespect for their families, » Mbadinga asserted, highlighting that such behavior tarnishes the nation’s reputation.
The statement was co-signed by Florentin Moussavou of the Conscience et action citoyenne (CAC) and Paskhal Nkoulou of the Bloc démocratique populaire (BDP), underscoring broad support for the message.
