The Collective of Descendants of Serigne Touba has filed a lawsuit against Ousmane Sonko, accusing him of spreading false news and defamation.
The plaintiffs are represented by Lawyer Aboubacry Barro, who informed Babacar Malick on X about the development.
This complaint stems from statements attributed to Ousmane Sonko, which claimed that recent funds were being diverted to Touba, stating “the money is the country’s and it’s being stolen.”
He also specified that this financial windfall was not intended for politics but rather to meet « political demands.»
