Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off today at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
The event marks a pivotal step in mobilizing private investments to fuel the nation’s ambitious development agenda. “This session represents a fresh chapter in our collective effort to harness investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation,” stated the Prime Minister. “I am pleased to report that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined us for this critical dialogue.”
With business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives gathered in large numbers, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of this gathering as both a platform for engagement and a means to align visions for sustainable growth. “Your commitment speaks volumes about the trust you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential,” he remarked. “You are vital partners in transforming our nation into a more competitive and job-rich economy. The success of this vision depends on your willingness to invest.”
The Prime Minister underscored the government’s strategy to position the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors of the country’s proven resilience and adaptability, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—a testament to its standing as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.
“This is a market brimming with opportunities,” he declared. “Today’s discussions will focus on accelerating investments in key sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, infrastructure development in transport, digitalization, and logistics to enhance competitiveness, as well as investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that will propel a more productive and inclusive economy.”
The Prime Minister also highlighted that the first day of the Consultative Group, which centered on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, saw participation from over 3,000 delegates across 49 countries.
In a show of strong support, leaders from prominent business organizations took the floor to affirm their confidence in the Ivorian authorities’ vision. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the CGEM in Morocco, and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), pledged substantial financial commitments to help realize the PND 2026-2030.
