Corlay Côte d’Ivoire celebrates 60 years and unveils future plans

Corlay Côte d’Ivoire, formerly known as Texaco, has kicked off a year-long celebration marking its 60th anniversary with a high-profile event held at its headquarters in Vridi, Abidjan’s industrial zone. The milestone underscores the company’s rich heritage, commitment to innovation, and long-term vision to strengthen its leadership in Côte d’Ivoire’s energy sector and beyond.

The ceremony brought together key partners, employees, and institutional stakeholders, where Managing Director Alassane Ouattara highlighted the company’s journey over six decades. He emphasized the group’s ongoing modernization efforts to address evolving energy sector challenges. The 2026-2030 strategic plan, he noted, prioritizes governance enhancement, human capital development, digital transformation, and sustainable growth to create long-term value.

« These six decades reflect a story of trust, resilience, and dedication to our customers, partners, and teams. Our goal is to carry this momentum forward with responsibility and determination to shape the Corlay of tomorrow, » declared the Managing Director. The anniversary year will feature a series of activities, including promotional campaigns, community engagement initiatives, and social and institutional programs designed to deepen the company’s ties with clients and partners.

Mohamed Touré, another executive, underscored the company’s adaptability amid shifting energy market dynamics. He reiterated its strategic positioning across industrial, maritime, and lubricant sectors while reaffirming ambitions to expand its footprint nationwide. With over six decades of operations, Corlay Côte d’Ivoire now boasts more than 60 service stations across the country, a lubricant production capacity of 16,000 tons, and a strong presence in both local and regional markets.

Innovation and growth at the heart of future ambitions

Through this celebration, the hydrocarbon company aims to highlight its growth trajectory and innovative spirit while charting a course for future expansion. The group is particularly focused on consolidating its leadership in maritime refueling, lubricants, and high-value energy solutions—a critical focus as energy challenges take center stage in West Africa.

The anniversary festivities are set to include a range of activities designed to engage communities, partners, and customers, reinforcing Corlay Côte d’Ivoire’s role as a key player in the nation’s energy landscape.
