The CODES party has taken control of power by excluding the ‘true artisans of the March 25 Revolution’, which it claims is under threat from President Ousmane Sonko’s transformation project.
This decision reflects the current political situation, where the CODES party believes that the Projet de transformation sociale (Social Transformation Project) is being ‘gravely menaced’.
The party has adopted a similar approach to President Sonko, who had previously theorized about the concept of a ‘bloc populaire’ during his recent speeches in Diamniadio. The CODES party now sees the preservation of this project as essential for the country’s future.
With this merger, the CODES party is calling on citizens to unite behind President Sonko to protect the project. It is also inviting democratic forces to join Pastef-Les Patriotes to ensure its success.
