Chelsea Signs Morgan Rogers in Record-Breaking Deal
The English club has confirmed the arrival of midfielder Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, with a reported transfer fee of £138 million.
Rogers has signed a four-year contract at Chelsea, which will keep him at the club until 2033. The signing breaks the record for the most expensive transfer in Premier League history, surpassing the previous record held by Elliot Anderson’s move from Nottingham Forest to Manchester City last month.
The 23-year-old midfielder has impressed during his time with Aston Villa, scoring 31 goals and providing 29 assists in 125 appearances for the club. He will join Chelsea’s first team immediately and is expected to play a key role in the club’s upcoming season under new manager Xabi Alonso.
