Chad president concludes UAE visit, returns to N’Djamena

The President of the Republic of Chad, Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, landed in N’Djamena late yesterday evening, concluding an official visit to the United Arab Emirates.

During his stay in Abu Dhabi, the Chadian leader held two high-level meetings with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The first discussion took place at the Presidential Palace, followed by a second encounter at the Marshal’s residence.

Upon his arrival at N’Djamena International Airport, President Déby was greeted by Prime Minister Amb. Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, key government ministers, the Secretary-General of the Presidency, the Presidential Chief of Staff, the Deputy Civil Cabinet Director, the Deputy Special Adviser, and the Mayor of N’Djamena.

The visit underscored the strengthening of bilateral ties between Chad and the United Arab Emirates, with discussions likely focusing on economic cooperation, security collaboration, and regional stability in the Sahel.
