Chad officials dismantle illegal slaughterhouse in farik aguek

In a decisive move to uphold public health and food safety standards, local authorities in Tchad have shut down an unauthorized slaughterhouse operating in the Farik Aguek neighborhood of Abéché.

The operation, spearheaded by the administration of the city’s first arrondissement, targeted an illicit facility that had been processing livestock outside regulated sanitary conditions. Hissein Hassan Tabit, assistant to the delegated administrator, led the intervention, during which officials discovered multiple cattle on the premises.

Local officials emphasized that all animal slaughter must occur exclusively in certified facilities to ensure meat quality and prevent health risks for consumers. They also announced plans to expand monitoring efforts to eliminate further violations that could jeopardize community wellbeing.

The crackdown underscores the municipality’s commitment to enforcing hygiene regulations, safeguarding public health, and fostering a safer environment for residents.
