A recent directive from the Ministry of Environment, Fisheries and Sustainable Development has made it clear: forestry agents in Chad are no longer permitted to wear military uniforms, insignia, ranks, berets or any other military-related gear.
Issued by the ministry’s Secretary-General, Koularambaye Koundja Julien, the circular addresses concerns over some agents—whether military personnel reassigned or civilian staff—continuing to display equipment exclusively associated with the Chadian National Army (ANT).
Violations of this ban will result in disciplinary measures. Senior officials across central and regional departments have been instructed to enforce the rule immediately, ensuring full compliance without delay.
