Following extensive speculation, Cremaschi is set to establish himself permanently in Italy. The Serie A outfit triggered the €4 million clause to convert his loan, initially slated to run until September 2025, into a full transfer. An alumnus of the Inter Miami academy, the American was recognized as the Young American Player of the Year last season and boasts three international appearances for his national team. Despite joining the Herons, Cremaschi found limited opportunities to make a significant impact while wearing the Parma jersey. Signed shortly after the arrival of Argentine international Rodrigo De Paul, the American midfielder struggled to regain his optimal physical condition and form. He made his debut in October but subsequently appeared only sporadically before suffering a season-ending knee injury in March.

As a natural central midfielder, Cremaschi’s return to the Herons’ squad seemed improbable following his criticism of coach Javier Mascherano’s tactical decisions. Deployed across various positions, his reduced playing time fueled his growing dissatisfaction.

“I am frustrated; I want to play,” Cremaschi stated last August. “The most important thing for me is to perform at a very high level, and to achieve that, I require consistent playing time and experience. I’ve featured very little in recent matches, and I don’t believe it’s due to my performance level.”

Consequently, the Miami club arranged his loan to secure him more game time.

Cremaschi’s definitive departure is poised to significantly benefit the Herons in their transfer aspirations. The club is reportedly keen on former Manchester United midfielder Casemiro, who is currently unattached.
