President Romuald Wadagni of Bénin commenced an official friendship and working visit to Burkina Faso, arriving in Ouagadougou on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
Upon his arrival at Ouagadougou International Airport, he was warmly greeted by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré. The two heads of state observed the playing of their respective national anthems before receiving full military honors.

Following the ceremonial reception, the Burkinabè and Béninese presidents engaged in a private, one-on-one discussion within the airport’s VIP lounge.

The two leaders subsequently proceeded to the Koulouba Presidential Palace, where a crucial working session is scheduled to take place.
