Dr. Ahoua Don Mello has announced the launch of a new political party in Ivory Coast, aiming to promote a sovereignist and alternative project for the country.
A new chapter in Ivorian politics opened on July 11, 2026, with Dr. Ahoua Don Mello’s decision to transform his movement into a new political formation, pending its founding congress.
The party’s launch was marked by an assembly plenary where participants adopted a resolution creating the future party and entrusted Dr. Ahoua Don Mello with leading the process that will lead to its official establishment.
According to a statement released on social media on July 12, 2026, the meeting was chaired by Ipou Ludovic, assisted by Ahile Fernand as secretary of session, and Brou Jean-Baptiste as rapporteur.
The decision comes after the work of a commission of reflection chaired by Me Sery Zokou and composed of Kouamé Kouakou, directeur de cabinet, Claudel Guiguy, Askène Cissé, Franck Stéphane Dedy, and Arsène Touho.
The report of this commission, presented by Sery Sara Soko, adjointe de cabinet, with the support of Mathieu N’Guatta, chef de cabinet, Sara Dominique, Ami Traoré, and Danon Goubo Armel Fabrice, concluded that the movement needed a formal political structure.
This decision marks the start of Dr. Ahoua Don Mello’s transformation into an organization that aims to be a force of proposition, gathering, and alternation.
The new party will be based on values such as democracy, social justice, good governance, solidarity, merit, and defense of national sovereignty, with the ambition of contributing to the development and renaissance of Ivory Coast.
