The African Union (AU) Commissioner for Economic Development, Tourism, Trade, Industry and Mines, Francisca Tatchouop Belobe, commended Morocco’s remarkable progress during a visit to Rabat on Monday.
Addressing reporters following her meeting with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, Commissioner Belobe highlighted the Kingdom’s outstanding achievements in industrial sectors over recent years. She noted Morocco’s leading role in the continent’s automotive and aeronautics industries, underscoring its growing influence in these fields.
In addition to praising Morocco’s industrial advancements, the AU Commissioner emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to sharing its expertise with fellow African nations. She specifically lauded initiatives aimed at developing a robust value chain for critical minerals, positioning Morocco as a key player in the continent’s resource-driven economic growth.
Expressing deep gratitude, Commissioner Belobe also acknowledged the unwavering support extended by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the AU, further strengthening the Kingdom’s pivotal role in Africa’s development landscape.
