Niamey – Consultations among high-ranking officials from the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) are actively progressing, coinciding with the third anniversary celebrations marking the National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland (CNSP)’s rise to power. On Monday, July 27, 2026, Major General Mohamed Toumba, Niger’s Minister of State for Interior, Public Security, and Territorial Administration, hosted Bassolma Bazié, who chairs the Burkinabè National Commission of the AES Confederation.
During his visit to Niger for the commemorative events, the Burkinabè dignitary paid a courtesy call to the Ministry of Interior. This meeting provided a crucial platform for both leaders to discuss the pressing challenges currently engaging the member states of the AES Confederation.
